This month saw the signing of a management deal with Galloon Partnerships, in which top Indie Band, Rosy

Galloon
are now set for stardom. Lead Vocalist and Guitarist JulieAnne McCambridge said today "All those

years as an apprentice grave digger in the Jewish cemetery in Prague have finally paid off." She, and

co-founder member Rosamund E Galloon, formed the band last summer, but they won’t say where they

got the name from. After sellout concerts at London’s ‘Slash’ club and ‘Outside at the Garage’ they decided

to add some extra members "To fill the stage out a bit", as Rosamund puts it. Bass player Toby Jugs (known

to his friends as ‘Bluey’) had a varied career, being the Tour Manager with Crass and make-up adviser for

Kiss. Trombonist Shane ‘Tom Baxter’ Ritchie was a child star, performing in the role of ‘Tommy’ at the

Pontefract Playhouse. Elton John had him in mind when he sang the line "That deaf and dumb and blind kid,

Shane plays a mean trombone." The line-up is completed by ex-Toto drummer Tom Thomas, who only

changed his name last week to suit his drumming occupation.

Rosy Galloon have been recording their new album ‘47 Steps Between the Landmines’ which is due out on

April 4th on Wolf records. Catch them on Channel 5’s ‘In the Dead of Night’ programme or see them live at a

cinema near you.
